BIOGRAPHY

Willem Groenewegen (1971) holds a Master's degree in English language & literature from the University of Groningen. As he moved from England to Holland when he was ten, he is completely bilingual. He currently resides in Assen, where he translates a wide range of visible poets: Arjen Duinker, Rutger Kopland, K. Michel, Ilja Pfeijffer, Erik Menkveld and most recently a sheaf of Bart FM Droog's and Tjitse Hofman's work. He also writes poetry himself in both Dutch and English.

His translations were published in magazines from the U.K., U.S.A., South Africa, Croatia and Macedonia.
